For anyone who is serious about the boutique bar culture in Brisbane, this is a great forum to be a part of. But be mindful that there are many questions still unanswered regarding the new liquor act's fee structure and implimentation of the small bar licence.

1.How long before state government changes the recently introduced after 12 trading fees to reflect the impact on the comunity, instead of blocking all venues regardless of capacity in a 12-3am or 12-5am bracket.? eg (a venue with capacity of 80 people trading till 1am pays the same fees as a venue with capacity 2000 people trading to 3 am)
2. Is it possible for Brisbane to share the same success as Melbourne and Sydney have with the state government legislating so strongly against late night trade in all areas.
3. Can small venues that don't have the cover charge afford these fees if they choose to trade past 12 midnight.
Having attended this launch I would strongly recomend that anyone that is currently running a boutique bar or has plans to gets involved with this initiative.

The launch will be for 1 hour or so. The bar will be open after the launch and the State of Origin game will be shown on the big screen later in the evening.

This is a great idea, and could really make a difference to Brisbane. How long does the launch go for?
